Hugo Marques Owner / Head BJJ ProfessorHugo Marques is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) black belt under Alexandre Salgado and Leandro Escobar (Tatu) as well as a representative of the 617 Fight Sports team in this sport/martial art’s international competitive circuit. Known for his aggressive and crowd-pleasing style, Hugo Marques made his reputation as one of the lightweight division’s most talented grapplers through his career in the colored belt categories of BJJ where he conquered 3 IBJJF World titles, going on to have an equally fruitful career on the main ranking category.
His passion for competing only rivals his love of teaching and coaching his students. Professor Hugo brings his energy, patience and love for the sport to every class at 617 Fight Sports.
